Yes, that's exactly what I just did and it worked! ...later rebooting my telephone.
Silly question.... Prior to the update, I was able to text without the sound or vibrate off the cardinal pad, so why is it doing information technology the contrary this time, After update? My phone volume is prepare to vibrate for incoming calls. Normally, if I had my phone on vibrate or sound completely off I would be able to text "quietly" but now, whenever I press a button on my primal pad it vibrates! :[

I take been PLAGUED with this trouble of not being able to remove the damn Samsung Hub from my lock screen e'er since I updated to Android four.3. (I accept a Galaxy S4 on Verizon.)
1.) The awarding cannot be uninstalled or removed or affected at all by going to the Awarding manager. All you can practise there is "Strength Stop," which of course is just a temporary thing. It can't be removed, there'southward no setting that tin be changed or contradistinct, nothing tin can be washed to set a default differently so that it doesn't launch . . . nothing.
2.) The widget itself cannot be removed from the lock screen. It does not permit yous to long-press it and drag it to the garbage can, so that's not an choice.
3.) When you go into the Samsung Hub app itself, there is no setting that you can change to remove it from showing upwards on the Hub, or to prevent it from automatically launching.
I'chiliad out of ideas. Anyone got any??
Thank you in advance!

Disable it from the application manager. I disable the Samsung music and hub and then rebooted my phone...problem solved!

As per betoken number i in a higher place, the Samsung Hub cannot be disabled or affected in any style via the Application Manager. Perhaps this is unique to the Verizon version of the phone? I don't know. The option to "Strength Stop" is grayed out, and cannot exist pressed.
Any other ideas?

I was having exactly the same problem as you. What i did was similar to what the previous person said. Go to settings, more, application managing director. Right under the words application manager it says downloaded.you lot can slide that to the left. y'all will run into sd card, running, all, turned off. go to the "all". roll down.y'all volition meet 1 that says samsung hub.
Continue down y'all volition also see ane that says Samsung music. I selected that and hit force stop and clear data. then restarted my phone just for the hell of it and it worked.
past the way my phone is galaxy s4 and my effect started when samsung did an update.

Believe it or not, afterwards hours with several Samsung techs to help me remove this problem failed, I decided to try to remove it myself, again. It worked.
Go to apps,
Touch the music icon
At the bottom left corner of your phone is the Menu push, press this and select DELETE
Now you'll meet on your top screen to the right ALL APPLICATIONS, SAMSUNG OVER THE HORIZON or other songs yous've down loaded. Identify a check mark on the SAMSUNG OVER THE HORIZON and then press the delete button on the upper right corner of your telephone. It should solve this trouble. Trust me, it was driving me basics.01-20-2014 02:38 PM
